Kai Makana assists the Mokauea Fishermen's Association with monthly stewardship projects on Mokauea Island that are normally held on the second Saturday of each month. A typical workday will include invasive species removal, planting and maintenance of native Hawaiian plants, mangrove and invasive algae removal from the fishpond, and marine debris removal.
